There has been much interest in recent years on the practice of solar light absorption or what is popularly known as “sun gazing.” A quick search online will produce a myriad of Web sites advancing a variety of practices, many of which are highly speculative and misinformed. We know that many ancient cultures and civilizations held the sun in high regard. But in many cases, this, too, went far beyond the commonly held concept of “sun worship.” The great spiritual Masters and Teachers knew that the physical sun was a gateway to another world – a Sun behind the sun. They also knew that sunlight was the conveyer of Intelligence and Information. This Intelligence and Information was not only the source of all life on Earth but able to open or unlock latent spiritual faculties within the human being by means of certain Divine Factors streaming in through the physical from heavenly or Divine Realms. In this book Dr. Sacks has revisited some of the knowledge and wisdom of the ancients regarding music. The power of music has been known in the world since the ancient Chinese, Egyptians, and other great civilizations down to Shakespeare’s time and more recently. Shakespeare said that good music “can minister to minds disabled, pluck from the memory a rooted sorrow, raze out the written troubles of the brain.” Perhaps the German Romantic writer Novalis was familiar with this idea when he wrote, “Every disease is a musical problem, every cure a musical solution.”
The knowledge of the power of music is not surprising since, as Pythagoras discovered, all music can be reduced to numbers and mathematical ratios. He postulated that the entire universe and all phenomena therein could be explained in the same terms of particular numbers and the mathematical ratios found in music.  This is a continuation of the report on the lecture series delivered by Project X Director Gene Savoy, Jr. during the course of the trip to Greece in 2009. I have been a student of Cosolargy for over a year. Similarities between the medical philosophy of naturopathy and Cosolargy are incredible. The philosophy of medicine now taught as naturopathy was developed just before the end of the 1800s in New York State, by Benedict Lust. At that time, national conflicts in eastern Europe were flooding America with immigrant families. Along with the educated professionals of various cultures came an influx of many philosophies, art forms, and Old-World industries.
The medical profession was an early beneficiary of this immigration, and the skilled practitioners of European healing arts were unlike anything the American doctors had ever encountered. A group of twenty individuals participated in the first Project X research seminar and field expedition to Greece from May 20 to June 3, 2009. Project X: The Search for the Secrets of Immortality is a program of research and study into the mystic arts and sciences of ancient solar cultures around the world. Through cultural, anthropological and metaphysical research of the solar teachings of antiquity, Project X research reveals connections between the many Holy Orders of antiquity who practiced similar systems of transformation and regeneration of spirit and soul through a sacred process of spiritual rebirth, by which they reclaimed their divine heritage and immortality.
A series of six lectures was delivered by Project X Director Gene Savoy, Jr. during the course of our trip, three of which dealt with Asclepius and dream incubation techniques. The entire series of lectures on the Mysteries of Ancient Greece is being published in book form as the first two volumes of the Project X series on the Solar Teachings of Greece and the Mediterranean.
